What do you see as some of the more popular cosmetic procedures being performed today?
On the face, injectable products such as Botox and Dysport, and Juvederm and Restylane have become very popular due to their price, lack of downtime, and near-instant gratification; speaking more broadly, cosmetic surgery as a whole is becoming more and more accepted amongst the general population and NOT just for the rich and famous.
In your expert opinion, what do you believe are the most important considerations people should make when thinking about cosmetic surgery?
The doctor-patient relationship is the most important factor for a patient to consider before undergoing cosmetic surgery; before a procedure, a patient should have spent enough time with their surgeon to have developed a sense of trust in them; the doctor should have observed appropriate expectations and understanding in their patients; the peri-operative process should be carefully reviewed so that the patient has a general understanding of their upcoming experience.
What should they expect from their board-certified surgeon?
Honesty, integrity, patience, thoughtfulness, courtesy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
What steps can they take to ensure the most pleasant experience possible?
Patients should be very careful when choosing an experience…many times in this industry, procedures or products that sound ‘too good to be true’ are being misrepresented by those promoting them.
What are some things you see on the horizon as they pertain to cosmetic surgery?
I predict diminishing interest and waning trust with the ‘quick-facelift fad;’ as interested patients become more educated about facelifting surgery and search out the time-tested principles of this art, I believe that the public will realize what is involved and what is required to achieve long-lasting, patient-pleasing results from the facelift operation.

He is board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.
